Originally a calligraphy and writing paper imported from China during the 18th century, Gasenshi is a Japanese handmade sheet made of mitsumata fibers with the addition of sulphite. It is neutral pH and sized for printing. Excellent for sumi-e brush painting.

Handmade in Japan of 100% Philippine gampi. This paper has a delicate and subtle laid pattern in a natural or light green color. Often used in restoration and bookbinding because of it's strength. Handmade in Japan from a mix of kozo/sulphite. Sekishu is a large sheet with a pronounced laid pattern. It is thin, wispy and delicate in feel though it has great wet strength for its weight and is an excellent sheet for traditional Asian painting techniques. It also works well for collage and as a chine colle paper for intaglio printmaking. Sekishu Kozogami Mare is Neutral pH, 4 deckle edges.

Literally, ?cloud dragon paper?, this popular ornate paper cannot be mistaken as sinewy fibers float clearly on the top of the sheet. It is made by adding the long coarse fibers to a wet layer of kozo on the mould. Neutral pH, no deckles.
