While we might have given it an overly generic name, we were very specific in what we were doing four decades ago when we created Multimedia. It was designed as a domestic 100% cotton sheet suitable for wet media application to rival the expensive mouldmade European watercolor papers in quality but at a fraction of the cost.
It quickly became a very popular grade for a variety of reasons: the color - white, but not too white the supple cold pressed finish, its two deckles. But most importantly, its versatility.
Multimedia’s internal and external sizing makes it suitable for not just watercolor painting, but for all drawing techniques; pencil, pastel, charcoal, tempura and acrylics. This paper can also be used for most printmaking techniques including etching, letterpress, engraving, thermography, offset and silkscreen.
