Description
This offwhite paper is manufactured in Japan from kozo, one of the strongest natural plant fibers used in papermaking. Because of its strength the most common use is for the conservation framing, repair and restoration of art.
Available in both sheets (handmade) and rolls (machine made) it is very desirable for all printmaking techniques and although lightweight, Mulberry is strong enough to take considerable pressure from a hand printing press without concern for cracking or tearing.
The sheet has a very subtle laid, chain line pattern and the handmade sheet is especially soft with very little surface sizing.
