Awagami Sekishu

Description

Smooth, strong, and steeped in history.

Sekishu White is one of Japan’s oldest continually made papers, and it shows - in the best way. Thin yet incredibly strong, it’s prized for both its beauty and its durability.

Made from 80% kozo and dried against a metal plate for a silky-smooth surface, Sekishu is ideal for lithography, calligraphy, drawing, and delicate printmaking. Its natural white tone, four deckled edges, and archival quality make it equally suited to fine art and conservation work like hinging, mending, and backing.
